Finally, everything is ready. I'm gonna leave very soon. I don't know why but I feel not so excited as i thought before. Some friends will come to meet me at airport and say last good-bye, i appreciate, but there are still some people i want to meet but they can't come... anyway, take care all my friends. I'm going. see you in France.

I have bought the air ticket. I will depart China on August 18th, and I will arrive in France on 19th, 6:45 a.m..  Now i begin to pack luggage, meet and say goodbye to friends one by one. I'm so excited for my leaving, can't wait to see the outside world, meet with new people, get used to different surroundings, begin a new life!

God Bless!!! I got my visa this afternoon. ^O^  Now, all the worries have gone!

I worried about it because i had a very bad performance in face-to-face interview, I was so nervous that I was stutterred. I was nervous because the interviewer asked me some questions I wasn't familiar with. Then I lost my points and became more and more nervous. But fortunately, I passed eventually.

Now, the following thing is to buy air ticket and prepare to go.

I begin to play the guitar again. It's been a long time i didn't play it. For many songs, I have almost already forgot how to play them. These days, I'm at home waiting for my visa. Waiting is such a long and boring process. I was really fed up, so i go to play the guitar. MEGADETH is one of my favorite bands, by playing theirs songs, i feel i was calming down and the enjoyment of playing greatly delighted me. I spent a great afternoon which should have been boring and nothing.

Giant panda is ours national treasure. Theirs naissances said to be 3 - 8 million years ago. Because of the change of living environment, the quantity of panda is reducing sharply, said to be only around 1000 in China.  Thus, they are called: "Living fossil".

Sichuan province is the hometown of Giant Panda, there are 16 panda refuges here, and here's panda quantity accounts for over 80% of national total amount.

In Cheng Du, the capital city of Sichuan, there are many shops sells panda souvenirs. Among them,  "Panda House" is the most famous i think. They own many chain stores in different zones, and theirs products looks better quality than others. But the price are expensive i think, however this will not be an excuse if you really want to take panda home ^^. Every shop of Panda house is well decorated, the light is comfortable makes the productions looks more graceful. They have big varieties' productions, got an unique logo, has their own website, and the site looks very cute. All the points are saying "We want to be the best panda souvenir brand"   Before i leave Cheng Du, I will buy some good-looking ones.

Cheng Du is a city that combined classical and modern elements.

In the city center, you can find all kinds of famous western brands, from food to luxury. Buildings are very huge and tall, and the decoration are full of modernity. However, you also can find some very old-style buildings just in the downtown. I don't know if they are real old building or artificial old building, but never mind, when i look at them, i have a special sense of feeling - there is an history behind.

June 30th, 2009, I departed Kunming fly to Cheng Du (Capital city of SiChuan province) at 7:00 a.m. This journey is for applying a visa of France, I will attend a face-to-face interview then the interviewer will give a remark and decide if i can get it finally. The flying was going very well, after 1h and 10 minutes, I arrived at Cheng Du shuang liu international airport.  (In the picture above, 1,2 was in Kunming airport, 3,4 was in Cheng Du airport)

Came out from airport, I took No.303 airport bus to downtown, it's very convenient and not expensive (RMB 10). Then I went to the Hotel i reserved online before by walk, because i didn't find the bus stop they advised. I walked 4 or 5 bus stops' distance, finally i found it!

The hotel i reserved online named: "Jinjiang Inn". From the outside it looks not as big as i thought before, and because i ordered single person room, the room is not that big either. But it is very clean and comfortable, the bed is great, very wide and soft, the pillow also. there is internet, air condition, TV set, water heater, desk light, telephone, ... in the room, and any basic life necessaries. It is reasonable for its price - RMB 149 / night.

After a good sleep on that bed, I felt all fatigue had gone, I'm energetic face to next days...

How time flies! I can't believe one year just finished! Thanks for bringing me lots of fun and happiness during the year; Thanks for being my friend, trusting and supporting me; I will miss you and hope to see you soon in France!  Take Care, man!

Songming and Xuanwei visit happened during module 7. With all the classmates and teachers, we visited 2 companies: One is specialised in lettuce production, is one of the suppliers of Mcdonald's in our province; Another is a famous ham producer, their hams sells to all over the China and expect to export in the future. We spent 2 days in these 2 places, local people were very warmly welcomed us and entertained us with very good local-style foods. From this trip, we saw the different food chains.

Hua Xi company visit happened in module 8. Every generation students of this Master programme will visit Hua Xi, because it is a glory of our school. Two of my colleagues established this company, and after decades years' development, this company has became very famous in our province and even in China. It is famous for his Green eggs and chicken production.

March 19 and 20, we spent two days on finishing our questionnaire about fertilizer in Kunyang, Jinning and Tonghai county. Each day we had to interview 100 flowers' farmers in total. We were divided into 5 groups, so each group had to interview 20 farmers per day. We went deep into villages, to ask people one by one or household by household. The progress was not going as easy as we thought before, we were exhausted when we finished. Even though, I feel content because I finished my task very well and I really saw and learned some things I didn't know before.

The first and second picture shows we were discussing how to design our questionnaire and make it more practical rather than bored our interviewees.

(In this module, we have to design a questionnaire in order to survey flowers' farmers, to see if there are needs of a new foliar fertilizer around kunming. We have been Dounan Flower Market, which is the biggest fresh cut flower market in China, even in Asia. We got some basic informations by interviewed some local farmers, distributors and companies in Dounan. 2 days later, we will visit Tonghai, Kunyang and Jinning county, to carry out our questionnaire. Each student has a 10 farmers' interview quota, that means we will interview 100 flowers' farmers in total. I'm looking forward to this trip very much. Anyway, we can go out, to practise what we are learning. And in addition, to go with classmates is really a happy and interesting thing!)

As i calculated, I got 6.  Anyway, I'm proud of myself.

From now on, i will put my whole heart on French learning and major studying!

All of us visited Dounan flower market on 5th March. We got up very early in that morning, something like 5:00 a.m. Because we were told the flower trade would be finished at about 9:30 am. So at 6:00, everybody just stood in the cold wind in front of the school gate waiting for our cars. After a short check that everybody was there, we set off.

About 1 hour later, we arrived. It is really a big market for flower trade. Farmers there, are no more noly simple farmers who simply focus on his planting, but more like professional businessmen. They have accustomed to do business with all kinds of people, even foreigners. There are also many distributors and flower companies, most of them know well how to do business with foreign companies and individuals. We spent something like 4-5 hours there for collecting the information we need, about foliar fertilizers. We seen the auction center as well, it is so huge!  I never imagined that.

After the raw materials' collection, we are going to design a quantitative questionnaire for the information collection of this module's final report, which focus on the interesting and popular non-chemical foliar fertilizers around kunming.

As I worried about, I could not finish the reading part on time... Actually, it was really a easy test compare with the mock tests I've done. But I still lost the chance to challenge a good score... It's kinda disappointing and sad. But anyhow it's over, finally I'll get my first score of IELTS, no matter how much it is. If i don't pass, I still have enough time to take the test one more time, but best not, because the preparing process is suffering, i don't want to bear it once again...

In the writing section, the first composition was a line graph, the title was "vehicle production time". It showed how much the time that 4 US-based car manufacturers(Nissan, Ford, GM, DC ) spent on their cars' production from 1998 to 2002. It's easy to read and to write I think.  The second composition asked "some people think that we should improve public health by increasing the sport facilities, but some people think we can find other measures.  To discuss these opinions and what's your opinions? "  It's not hard as well.

In the speaking section, I was asked following questions:

1) What's your full name?    2) May i see your id card?    3) You live in a house or a flat?    4) What is there on the wall of your house?    5) Through the window, what can you see?    6) When did you learn to use internet? and What do you do with the internet?    7) Do you think police officer is a good job in China? and why?    8) What a good police officer should be?    9) Describe a law that you like most in China, why you like it?    10) Do you think lawyer is a good job also? why?    11) Do you think should a country have laws? why?        That's almost all.

This part should have lasted 10~15 mins but I spoke too fast so that just 7 or 8 mins the examiner asked me leave... My mouth just like a machine gun, keep shooting out bullets without stops, I spoke thousands of words, and I think I shocked him... But through the whole conversation process, the examiner rarely gave me a smile, so Was it good or not?  I still worried about it....

Anyhow, it has finished, 2 weeks later, we'll see the score... Wish me Luck!
